What Is An Internship?
An internship is a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional setting.Ìý Internships give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths; give employers the opportunity to guide and evaluate talent. Internships must be approved by the faculty and Career Services prior to beginning the internship.
Every 40 hours of work experience is equal to 1 academic credit hour; the maximum number of credit hours per semester is 6. ÌýThe maximum number of internship credit hours is 12.

- Be 18 least 18 years of age at the time of the application
- Possess unrestricted US work authorization
- Meet any individual school requirements (GPA, grade level, etc.), if applicable
- Former Disney College Program participants must wait four months after their last departure date before applying
To the Student: Please discuss your plans to participate in the Disney College Program with your faculty advisor and email this form to them or print a copy. Academic credit and billing arrangements are determined by each student’s college or university; DCP does not grant academic credit.

The New York State Assembly Intern Committee sponsors theÌýÌýat the State Capital starting every January. ÌýThe SESSION INTERNSHIP offers college students a chance to participate in state government and the legislative process throughÌýa well-structuredÌýpractical learning experience. ÌýAssembly Session Internships give students an advantage in today's job market, providing real government experience inÌýthe comprehensiveÌýacademic program. The Assembly Intern Committee awards a $8,800 stipend to each Session Intern.

The Office of Science / US Department of Energy is pleased toÌýannounceÌýpaidÌýresearchÌýinternship opportunities for undergraduate students majoring in areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The application system for the Term Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program isÌýavailable atÌý
The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program places studentsÌýfrom two and four-year undergraduate institutions asÌýpaidÌýinterns in science and engineeringÌýresearchÌýactivities at DOE national laboratories and facilities, working with laboratory staff scientists and engineers on projects related to ongoingÌýresearchÌýprograms. The Washington Internship Institute is a Fall and Spring internship in Washington, DC.Ìý Internships in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors offer practical experience for all majors.ÌýThe WII program is a semester long opportunity, primarily situated within an organization thatÌýsupports the academic career interest of the student.Ìý In addition, two courses are taught in a classroom setting.Ìý Students participating in the WII program receive 15 academic credits.
